New Features & Updates
The Complete Guide to Chit Chats
- We’ve introduced The Complete Guide to Chit Chats, a general overview of our services and is particularly useful if you are a new or returning client.
- It is also available via your dashboard for those who have shipped 100 or fewer shipments with us.

- We’ve completely revamped the dashboard for a cleaner and more streamlined appearance! Let us know what you think!
Filter Non-USPS U.S. Postage
- It is now possible to filter out non-USPS postage for U.S. services in the “Cheapest Postage Type” section under Shipping Settings. This feature is especially useful for those who want to appear as a U.S.-based business.
Manufacturer Information Fields
- In preparation for the upcoming U.S. DDP postage solution, Manufacturer Information fields have been added to the platform for shipment creation.
- The Manufacturer ID (MID) will auto-generate based on the information that you enter in the fields. However, you can override this by manually entering the MID last before saving.
- The Advanced CSV template and Chit Chats API have been updated to capture this information as well.
- This information will only be required for the future U.S. DDP solution should tariffs apply.
Returns Settings Page Disclaimer
- In order to improve visibility, a new disclaimer has been added to the returns page, highlighting that the default U.S. returns address is our Niagara Falls, NY warehouse.
Returns Label Disclaimer
- If your shipment does not meet the criteria for a return label due to the dimensions of the package, you will now see a disclaimer informing you and linking to a support article that provides additional information.

Service Updates
Chit Chats Select – Annual Increase
- Starting April 2, our Chit Chats Select partner carrier will be making its annual rate adjustments:
- Some shipping rates will increase due to higher carrier costs.
- Some regions will see lower rates under the new zone structure.
Chit Chats International Tracked & USPS International
- Due to recent changes at the U.S./Canada border, Chit Chats International Tracked now uses PostNL as the partner carrier.
- HS codes are now required for all international shipments.
- For now, we can only ship to countries serviced by Chit Chats International Tracked.
U.S. USPS Services
- U.S. based USPS services (Chit Chats U.S. Edge, U.S. Select, etc) will no longer support U.S. military addresses and U.S. territories. You must use Tracked Packet USA for these destinations.
Chit Chats Insurance
- Starting April 7, there will be updates to Chit Chats Insurance:
- U.S. & Canadian shipments will now have coverage of up to $800 USD.
- Rates for existing coverage tiers will see a slight increase.
HTS Code Lookup Tool
- To simplify HTS code searches, we’ve introduced the Chit Chats HTS Lookup Tool! This tool should be used alongside the official U.S. HTS resource to ensure accuracy.

- Resolved: We have updated our automatic emails informing you that registering with CARM is required before submitting your POA for us to manage your U.S. returns.
- Resolved: There was a bug that prevented some Tracked Packet USA shipments from being refunded.
- Resolved: There was an issue where Chit Chats International Tracked shipments were not displaying the carrier tracking number on the Chit Chats platform.
- Resolved: The platform now validates and flags you when HTS codes do not have exactly 10 digits.
- In progress: Some bugs are affecting Chit Chats U.S. Select postage purchases. While some issues have been resolved, others are still being addressed.
