You can now renew your CUSMA certificates! The process is quick and easy, and our tools make it simple to keep track of your certificates, check their status, and stay on top of upcoming renewals.

Manufacturer information fields will no longer appear for shipments that are not destined for the U.S.
The Manufacturer ID (MID) field has been removed from the product manufacturer section, where applicable. Don’t worry, this information is still automatically generated by the Chit Chats platform and applied to your shipment behind the scenes.

We’ve added a new tracking event for Chit Chats U.S. Connect shipments to provide better visibility between the time Canada Post delivers your shipment to our partner and when the partner delivers it to Chit Chats for relabeling.

When shipping to Brazil, you’ll now see a tooltip with important information about the documentation required for your shipment.
- The tooltip explains that you must include an invoice with the applicable tax reference number and that the recipient will need to complete additional steps to receive the shipment.

Chit Chats U.S. Connect now accepts shipments weighing up to 30 kg (66 lb), giving you more flexibility when shipping to the U.S.
Chit Chats U.S. Edge is now compatible with Letter and Flat Envelope package types. These shipments will receive full tracking with U.S. Edge, unlike shipments sent with USPS First-Class Letter Mail.
USPS Priority Mail is no longer compatible with Letter and Flat Envelope package types.
We’ve launched a new courier-based U.S. postage option: Chit Chats U.S. Courier. Learn more about how this service can help you ship smarter.
- Please note: Chit Chats U.S. Courier is currently available only to clients in Alberta and British Columbia.
USPS surcharges have been updated for certain services. These fees may be applied as postage adjustments if a shipment is misdeclared, such as when the weight or dimensions provided don’t match the actual shipment.

The European Union (EU) has introduced new product regulations. There are currently no changes to how you ship to the EU through Chit Chats, but there are a few important things to keep in mind.

Resolved: CUSMA-approved products were incorrectly charged base duties while Section 338 tariffs were in effect. Refunds have been issued for applicable charges on shipments created before this issue was resolved.
Resolved: Printing issues concerning Chit Chats U.S. Slim labels were corrected.
Resolved: The FDA fee (for eligible U.S. shipments) and IOSS customs fees (for eligible International shipments) are now included in the insurance declared value amount.
