Update November 15
Canada
Effective Friday, November 15th Canada Post operations are shut down due to a national strike. Mail and parcels will not be processed or delivered for the duration of the strike, and some post offices will be closed. Service guarantees will be impacted for items already in the postal network. No new items will be accepted until the national disruption is over.

Update November 15
Haiti
Effective November 15, 2024, the Postal Service will suspend international mail acceptance to Haiti until further notice due to unavailable transportation. Customers are asked to refrain from mailing items addressed to Haiti
Unless otherwise noted, service suspensions to a particular country do not affect delivery of military and diplomatic mail.
For already deposited items, Postal Service International Service Center employees will endorse the items as “Mail Service Suspended — Return to Sender” and then place them in the mail stream for return.

Iran
Effective November 8th, 2024, the Postal Service will suspend international mail acceptance to Iran until further notice due to unavailable transportation.

Jamaica and Cayman Islands
Jamaica Post and Cayman Islands Postal Service has suspended all international mail operations as Tropical Storm Rafael approaches. Expect delays in processing and delivery of mail.

Mongolia and Turkmenistan
The Postal Service has suspended international mail acceptance to Mongolia and Turkmenistan until further notice due to unavailable transportation.
For already deposited items, Postal Service International Service Center (ISC) employees will endorse the items as “Mail Service Suspended — Return to Sender” and then place them in the mail stream for return.

Italy
Due to the adverse weather conditions recorded in the regions of Emilia Romagna and Calabria in the municipalities of the provinces of Bologna, Modena, Reggio Emilia and Catanzaro, there are suspensions and significant slowdowns in the collection and delivery of mail and parcels, caused by road closures and or evacuation.

Hurricanes Helene and Milton, flooding, and severe weather events in the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic U.S. (FL, GA, SC, NC, and VA) may impact the processing, transportation, and delivery of mail and packages. Please allow additional time for the final delivery of your item.

Florida – Hurricane Milton: Embargo for Priority Mail Express
The U.S. Postal Service is advising all mailers that use Priority Mail Express into the Florida region is embargoed until Hurricane Milton passes and the impacts of the storm can be evaluated. This will impact Priority Mail Express shipped into the following 3-digit ZIP Code areas: 320, 321, 326, 327, 328, 329, 335 -339, 341, 342, 344, 346 and 347. This mail will not be accepted across the retail counters or through other acceptance units until further notice.

Update September 18
We have been made aware that some Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) warehouse locations are rejecting deliveries made through USPS. While this is happening inconsistently, we want to keep our clients aware of potential disruptions.
USPS is investigating the situation and trying to resolve this issue with Amazon. Please note that this matter does not stem from USPS or Chit Chats.
The following locations have been reported to be rejecting shipments, although additional locations may also be affected that we are not aware of. We recommend contacting Amazon directly to inquire further.
