Reminder To Sort & Batch Your Shipments

With our contactless drop & go, batching and sorting shipments still apply. This means that if you have 10 or more shipments you must create a batch. Failure to do so may cause processing delays and we want to ensure that your packages are processed efficiently and get on their way.

Remember it is the shipper’s responsibility to ensure that shipments arrive at Chit Chats ready to be received.

How to sort packages

Packages must be sorted according to carrier if you have a total of 10 or more shipments. This means to physically group your packages together by carrier. Use these guidelines to help you sort:

  1. USPS and Chit Chats U.S. Tracked
  2. Chit Chats Canada Tracked
  3. Asendia
  4. Chit Chats International Standard

For example, all Chit Chats Canada Tracked should be placed together in one bag or box. The same applies to each of the carriers* listed above.

*Grandfathered services should also be grouped together:

  • UPS & FedEx
  • UPS MI

By sorting packages by carrier this will ensure that packages are handed off to the correct carrier. You can identify them by looking at your pending shipments and reviewing the Postage column.

How to batch

When you have 10 or more shipments you must create a batch label. Creating a batch will generate a batch label with one barcode that is used to scan and process your shipments. It is important to ensure that the batch quantity matches what is physically being dropped off.
