Creating a batch allows you to identify which shipments we are expecting together. This can help prevent cases of missing shipments.
Sorting shipments helps your packages be efficiently processed avoiding delays.
Our team is here to process your packages quickly so they get into the mailstream on their way to your expecting customers. We strive to avoid all delays. Your responsibility as a shipper is to ensure your packages are ready to be recieved and processsed. This includes shipment descriptions and recipient details that should be verified prior to dropping off shipments.
Sorting packages
This means to physically group your packages together by carrier or destination. Use these guidelines to help you sort:
- Canadian shipments
- U.S. shipments
- International shipment
This allows for a smooth process to get packages into the mailstream so that they move one step closer to your customer. Another easy way to identify them is by looking at your Pending shipments and reviewing the Postage column in your Chit Chats account.
Creating a batch
Batches are a great way to stay organized. If you drop off at a branch, batch labels aren’t mandatory however highly encouraged!
Once a batch is created in your Chit Chats account you will have the ability to generate a batch label with a barcode to print out. The barcode is used to scan and process your shipments. This also provides the opportunity to cross reference the batch quantity matches what you are physically getting to Chit Chats via the drop spot, mailing in or having picked up by us or a third-party.
