New Features & Updates

Delivery Instructions: Chit Chats Select

  • You can now add delivery instructions to Chit Chats Select shipments when purchasing postage.

Return Label Generation

  • Return labels can now be generated for all Canadian services (excluding Chit Chats Slim) for shipments under 100 g.

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved: Chit Chats tracking now displays the correct delivery time, as shown by the carrier.
  • Resolved: New validation checks detect and verify CUSMA mismatches.
  • Resolved: Product Automation now accepts uppercase currency codes (e.g., CAD).
  • Resolved: Various Product Automation issues have been fixed.

Service Updates

U.S. Services

  • Certain HTS codes for clothing ensembles are restricted, as each item must be assessed individually.
    • For guidance on selecting the correct HTS code, please refer to our support article.
  • Some U.S. military addresses and diplomatic post offices are temporarily restricted. Shipments to affected ZIP codes will trigger an error message.

Chit Chats International Tracked

  • For shipments to Brazil, recipients must complete additional steps to ensure delivery. A CPF or CNPJ number must be included on the invoice attached to the outside of the parcel.
    • Recipients in Brazil should:
      1. Log the carrier shipment ID into Correios (Brazil’s national postal service).
      2. Add the tracking number in Minhas Importações (My Imports).
    • Once completed, the shipment will be linked to the recipient’s CPF, showing any duties, payment options, and delivery updates.
  • Due to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, service to Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, and Israel is temporarily suspended.
    • Shipments already in transit will be held until service resumes.
  • Starting July 1, 2026, the EU will implement a fixed customs duty, and some shipments may incur a handling fee.
    • As of March 1, 2026, shipments to France without an IOSS number are subject to a handling fee.

Reminders:

  • With tax season approaching, be sure to export your shipment data annually. Keep in mind that for security reasons, shipment details are redacted after 90 days.
