Complete Guide to Chit Chats: Getting your shipments to us

Whether you’re near a Chit Chats branch, a drop spot, or need a pickup service, there are multiple ways to get your shipments to us. This guide will help you find the best option based on your location and shipping needs. Keep reading to learn more about drop-offs, pickups, and how to streamline your shipping process!

At a Chit Chats Branch

If you’re near a Chit Chats branch, simply drop off your package(s) at the designated Drop & Go area. Our branches are staffed with knowledgeable Chit Chats employees who are available to assist with any questions about our services or shipments. In addition, you can easily pick up your supply orders and return shipments.

Remember to arrive with your shipments prepared for their journey. If you need assistance getting your shipment ready to ship, like label printing, our team will do their best to help but they may not always be able to accommodate these requests and these additional services may incur extra fees.

At a Chit Chats Drop Spot

If you’re closer to a Chit Chats drop spot, you’ll need to drop off your shipments pre-labeled and consolidated, as there are no Chit Chats employees on-site. Drop spots are third-party businesses that accept Chit Chats packages, which we then transport to our facilities for processing. Drop spots are generally free to use with few exceptions. 

For clients in Atlantic Canada using Maritime Bus drop spots, the process is slightly different. Learn more about Maritime drop spots here.

Chit Chats Pickups

If your business is located within our coverage zones in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, or Quebec, you may qualify for Chit Chats Pickups. To use this service, you’ll need to pre-label your shipments and consolidate them into larger bags or boxes.

⚠️Chit Chats Pickups are not offered in Atlantic Canada, Alberta, and British Columbia for the moment.

A Chit Chats driver will come directly to your location to collect your packages and deliver them to a Chit Chats branch for processing.

📢Please note that in certain periods of the year Chit Chats Pickups may be at full capacity and not accepting new requests.

Third-party Pickups

If you do not qualify for Chit Chats Pickups or are outside a coverage zone, you can still arrange for your shipments to be picked up and delivered to a Chit Chats location using a third-party service.

In your Chit Chats account, you can directly schedule a Canpar pickup via the “Schedule a Pickup” tab in the left menu bar. Please note that Canpar is a third-party service and is not operated by Chit Chats. For support on issues with the service and any questions, please contact Canpar directly. Other Third-Party Options

  • Trexity: Available in Calgary, Ottawa, the GTA, Kitchener, Waterloo, Vancouver, and Winnipeg.
  • Deeleeo: Available in Edmonton. Contact support@deeleeo.com to receive special Chit Chats rates.

Note: These third-party services incur additional fees, which are not included in the cost of purchasing postage. We recommend reaching out directly to these providers for any questions or concerns about their services.

Mail-in Service

You can also mail-in your shipments if it is more convenient for you, here’s how to do it effectively:

  1. Gather all the shipments you wish to send and pack them into a single, larger box.
  2. Use your preferred carrier to ship the consolidated box to the Chit Chats regional hub for your province:
  3. Once your parcel arrives at our regional hub, we’ll process the individual shipments. Please monitor your tracking for updates.
