New Features & Updates

Chit Chats HTS Lookup Tool

  • The Chit Chats HTS Lookup Tool has a new home! You can now access it directly from the left-hand navigation menu in your client dashboard for quicker and easier access.

Client Dashboard

  • We’ve given the client dashboard a fresh new look! The updated design offers a more seamless experience and brings it in line with the rest of the Chit Chats platform.

WooCommerce Imports

  • Dimensions will now be imported from WooCommerce imports if the order only has one order item AND the order item has all 3 dimensions.

Preset Automation

  • We’re excited to introduce Preset Automation, a new feature that automatically applies your presets to imported shipments. This helps streamline your workflow and saves time when preparing shipments.

Service Updates

U.S. Shipments

  • The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) requires eFiling for applicable U.S. shipments. As we implement support for this new requirement, certain HTS codes are temporarily restricted for select U.S. postage options.
  • Starting July 12, USPS will update how dimensional weight is calculated for certain services to align with industry standards.

Chit Chats International Tracked (EU Shipments)

  • The European Union has introduced a €3 customs duty fee for shipments that include an IOSS number.
  • Some EU countries are no longer accepting non-EU shipments sent without an IOSS number. Luxembourg has already implemented this requirement, with Germany following on August 31.

CUSMA Registration Renewals

  • Our development team is working on a renewal workflow for CUSMA registrations as the renewal period is approaching. We expect to share more information later this month.

Chit Chats SmartDrop

  • We’ve expanded our network of Chit Chats SmartDrop partner locations, making it even easier to drop off your shipments.

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved: Currency-related errors with shipments imported from Shopify
