To prepare for this update, we will require dimensions for all shipments as of <strong>June 1, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"col-md-6\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"h-banner__image\" src=\"https:\/\/chitchats.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/us-returns-1-1200x630-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" aria-hidden=\"true\"\/><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, U.S. shipments under 1 lb do not require dimensions. However, starting July 12, 2026, USPS will require package dimensions for all shipments. This means every parcel must include length, width, and height, regardless of weight. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/postalpro.usps.com\/july-2026-release-overview\">release overview<\/a>, non-compliant shipments may be subject to a noncompliance fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In partnership with USPS, we encourage you to get ahead of this change by ensuring dimensions are included for all shipments. <strong>As a result, we will require clients to provide package dimensions starting June 1, 2026, regardless of weight.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below is an overview of how this change may affect you, depending on how you import your shipments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Etsy &amp; eBay<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This change will primarily affect single-item orders, as dimensions will need to be entered manually. To streamline this process, you can use <a href=\"https:\/\/support.chitchats.com\/en\/support\/solutions\/articles\/47000427148-how-do-i-use-presets-\">presets<\/a>, which make applying dimensions quick and easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ShipStation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please ensure that the dimensions entered in ShipStation are accurate. Chit Chats will automatically import this information when your shipments are brought into the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other Store Integrations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dimensions are not automatically imported for other store (i.e. Shopify, WooCommerce, Squarespace, BigCommerce, Adobe) integrations. We recommend setting up <a href=\"https:\/\/support.chitchats.com\/en\/support\/solutions\/articles\/47000427148-how-do-i-use-presets-\">presets<\/a>, which make applying dimensions quick and easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CSV Imports<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your CSV files previously did not include dimensions for shipments under 1 lb, you will now be required to add them when importing orders into the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We are here for you<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We understand this will be an adjustment for those who were not previously required to include dimensions for shipments under 1 lb.
