Farewell to Ottawa East, Edmonton NE & Brampton

Goodbye, until we meet again. We’re saying farewell to three of our branches so we can focus on other ways to bring our entrepreneurs value.

We have good news for our Brampton users: our Brampton branch will remain open. We had initially communicated that the last day would be Friday, August 18. Our team has been able to make some staffing changes that will allow us to keep this branch open.

Remember that you can customize your notification settings about specific branch updates like power outages or changes to branch hours. Find this in your Settings / Notifications / Branch Notifications

As part of our ongoing commitment to enhance and optimize our services, we’ve made the difficult decision to close three of our branches: Chit Chats Ottawa East, Edmonton NE and Brampton.

We want to assure you that this decision was not made lightly as our mission to provide your business with low-cost shipping remains unwavering. Here’s what you need to know if you frequent one of these branches.

Branch Closures

Edmonton North East – July 28

July 28 will be the last day to drop off your shipments or pick up returns at this branch.

If you regularly visit our Edmonton NE location, our Edmonton and Edmonton NW branches are each an approximate 25 minute drive away and are available to accept your shipments.

 Ottawa East – July 28

Our Ottawa East branch will close on July 28 which will also be the last day to drop off shipments or pick up returns.

You can drop off shipments at our nearby location (8 minute drive) in Ottawa.

Brampton – August 18 *Will remain open

Our Brampton branch will close on August 18 which will also be the last day to drop off shipments or pick up returns.

Chit Chats Mississauga is within a 20 min drive and operates with extended evening hours.

If getting to another location in the area doesn’t work for your business, check out our other access options such as scheduling a Canpar pickup or mailing in your shipments directly to our hub.

Managing Your Return Shipments

If you have any outstanding return shipments, please make sure to pick them up by the last day at your branch. Any shipments not claimed by the branch closing date will be redirected to a nearby branch.

For future returns, please take a moment to update your return preferences so we know how you’d like us to process them. Options include picking up at an alternate nearby branch or receiving them by mail. Learn about your return options here>>

If you have branch notifications enabled please update your settings if you wish to subscribe to updates for another branch.
