Update to Ottawa Processing Times

We’ve heard your feedback and made updates to our Ottawa processing timelines to better serve our clients

Update Aug 9

We are pleased to report that Ottawa processing times have significantly improved. Following the feedback from our clients, we were able to make adjustments to not only how shipments from the Ottawa area were processed, but also the frequency. Moving forward Ottawa clients should see improved processing times as we have updated our processing schedule to make more frequent trips to our Burlington Hub. As a result, shipments dropped off during branch hours will receive same-day scans from our hub. 

With these improvements we hope to provide a consistent and reliable service that our clients can rely on. We sincerely appreciate your feedback on our service as it continuously helps us improve. 

Update July 21

Our focus over the last few years has been to shake up the shipping industry so that Canadian entrepreneurs continue to have access to low cost postage options for their businesses amid uncertainty with inflation rises in fuel costs. 

However, in the pursuit of ensuring our services remain low-cost we found that a number of our Ottawa shipments saw an impact to processing times. After reviewing your feedback and implementing an interim solution to cut down on additional delays, we are happy to report that we have identified a more permanent solution. As of Thu, July 21 Ottawa clients can expect to see shipments resume the regular estimated transit times of 2-6 business days for all U.S Tracked shipments. However, please remember that all transit times are estimates and are not guaranteed.

Update Jul 13

We’ve made changes to our logistics network to ensure that our Chit Chats services remain low-cost and accessible. However, a result of these changes has been an increase to transit times (5-8 business days) for shipments originating from the Ottawa area with our Chit Chats US Tracked Postage. While our efforts were focused on continuing to handle your shipments with care and speed, we realize the impact that they have had on our Ottawa clients in particular. For that reason our Operations Team is working diligently to limit the impact of our processing times for your shipments moving forward.

Updates to Delivery Times

Over the next couple of weeks, US shipments dropped off in Ottawa on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be processed on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. This will limit the additional processing time from 3 to 1 business day on those days. Clients should expect an estimated delivery time frame of 3-7 business days. 

There is the exception for shipments dropped off on Thursday and Friday. Some shipments will still be impacted so we recommend notifying your customers about the possibility of extended delivery timelines of 4 – 8 business days rather than the previous 2-6 business days average delivery time. As a reminder, all delivery times are estimated and are not guaranteed
